The Stjärnmattan Wallpaper
Josef Frank designed the Stjärnmattan (Star Carpet) wallpaper in 1947, alongside many of his other floral wallpaper motifs. The composition is clean and simple, featuring flowering vines, wood anemones, and violets in shades of green, blue, and grey-blue.

Josef Frank always designed different kinds of prints for specific purposes. He never used fabric patterns for wallpapers or wallpaper patterns for fabrics, but made sure that each pattern had a unique use.
